Landing strip in the gold and diamond mines

 Icabarú

This is the oldest "gold and diamond washer" village near the Brazilian border. Surrounding the mines there is one tourist camp "Villa Tranquila" with comfortable bungalows in a nice place on the river bank. Mr. Hans H., owner of the camp and gold washer for about 30 years is the best person to introduce you to this environment, with his stories, experiences and adventures.
Excursions:

- by 4X4 car, walking through
the tableland to the "abyss". Standing on the brink of the 300 m precipice you have an extraordinary view over the Brazilian jungle and can hear the birds and animals from below.

- Visit to the gold and diamond

mines in open-cast, there you can try your luck washing gold.
