SAN FRANCISCO DE GUAYO
situated near the Atlantic coast, has a Capuchine Mission, a fairly large Warao community and two or three tourist-camps from which daily excursions can be made by boat, visiting different Warao communities, the Atlantic coast and a palmhearts processing plant.
| Visitors can also go fishing in "curiara" or go to the mangroves, where they can observe the regional fauna (fresh water dolphins, alligators, aras, macaws). |
Access:
Only by river from Volcan port or Tucupita, for 6 - 8 hours by motorboat.
